California’s Mustang Fire Marshal
Besides their efforts to save humans, heroic animals are also protecting their own species. In 2019, during California’s devastating wildfires, one horse risked its own life to save other horses from the raging fire. The horse had already been saved from the fire but he suddenly ran back toward the burning ranch, meeting up with two other horses and leading them away from the fire and back to the road. Real hero!
