Extended Warranty
Buying home equipment can be more complicated and way more expensive than you expect. Those salespeople are probably working on commission, so remember that they want you to charge you for as many extras as possible. Before you add an extended warranty to your purchase which may be pricey, first check exactly what you’re getting for your money. If your brand-new product stops working or even falls apart you’re going to be disappointed if your warranty doesn’t cover it! But keep in mind that your home insurance or credit card might also give you the coverage you need, and trust me, an extended warranty is an absolute waste of money.
