Casu Marzu
Maybe you don’t know what is Casu Marzu, but when you go and read that casu marzu is also known as fly larvae cheese, you have a pretty clear picture and the reason why it’s banned! Basically, it looks like it’s completely rotten. This Sardinian cheese is basically full of maggots, who lay eggs inside of it then eat away at it, and important to mention – this cheese is only edible before the maggots die, ugh!
