1919 Chicago White Sox
The 1919 Chicago White Sox, or more popular as “Black” Sox, still nowadays represents the biggest cheating scandal in the history of the sport.
Eight players were bribed to throw the 1919 World Series against the Cincinnati Reds, who won at the end. They allegedly were bribed by a gambler Arnold Rothstein.
